Poor Doggy

I’m a sucker for dogs. They’re man’s best friend. 2 nights ago a stray dog was in the neighborhood and was kicking it with my Dad and Uncle in the garage. Everyone called it a “Filipino dog.” Anyhow, my Mom played with it and it was in good shape (super clean teeth, good coat, etc.), guessing it was a house dog.
So it rains that night (I was up till like 1am watching T3 on DVD), and so my Mom puts some blankets out and some dry food or whatever in the front porch, and it chills there during the night.
The next morning my brother and Dad head off to work, and its still chillin’ here, same thing from when I left to go to school. But then my Mom said when she went to leave for work (around 11am) it was gone. Boo.
I was driving home from school when I noticed him around Petal/Division/Dillard cross section. Doggy recognized me too and came up to my car. Ah, what a smart doggy. So I called up my Mom and she said how some people were gonna get it and stuff, so I let it follow me home.
So it chilled at our house for the whole day, wandering off every now and then, but my mom’s co-workers husband came by and ended up not wanting it. Fag. La la, the day goes by, it stays by the front door blah.
This morning it was here again still when my brother and Dad left to work, but then afterwards it hasn’t been around. Sad. My mom was suppose to call the shelter or whatever today to see if anyones looking for it (it was too late yesterday).
Man I would take that dog but we have 2, and one our dog’s doesn’t like anybody, he goes crazy around strangers (even family members he doesn’t know) and other dogs. Annoying, but we still love him.
This is like my ideal dog too. You can’t really tell, but it’s got a long body like a hot dog and looks like a um, German Shepard I guess, dunno alot like my cousins dog Hershey.

The human mind treats a new idea the way the body treats a strange protein; it rejects it.
