Over by Ski Beach today was alright. The security/Elite people working the event need to get on point though. At first we were gonna park at some area where the website said it was free parking, and then a shuttle would take you to the event. We saw the parking but uh, where was the shuttle? So we went to straight to the event parking instead to check it out, since the parking fee on site was $10. I asked the dude “Where can I park?” And he said you can park in here or across the street. So I went ahead and parked there. As we’re walking out of the car and to the stage, I notice cars with permits on their windows. So I ask some Security guy nearby and he says, “The patrol will be coming soon to ticket non-permited cars.”
“Is the parking across the street free?”
“Yes. “You can still park here if you want (smiles).”
Uhh… okay dude. I don’t want to get ticketed. Dumbass. The entrance dudes weren’t even asking for money for permits, so I dunno why he let me go through if it’s $10 parking. Some girls asked us the same questions and they ended up following us. So I didn’t like how they weren’t organized. When we come through the entrance there’s like 2 parties with dogs. It was sad because the 1st dude was like, “You can bring your dogs inside.” And then right at the entrance another guy says, “No dogs allowed ma’am.”
“But the man over there said I could bring him in as long as I carry him.”
“Who said that to you?” She points. “Hey hey, it’s ok, they just have to carry them.”
“Ok then ma’am.” So this older woman walks past him. Although her dog was small, she was a petite woman so it was sad…
But then this bigger white guy gets mad (at first he probably thought the security was joking - he had a big dog). Dunno what happened with them. So later we go back to the car to get a blanket, and when we come back, now the entrance is moved and they’re doing bag checks. Uhh…
So we looked at the swap meet items and all the Hawaiian-ish stuff. Listened to some sermon about the ‘Island Touch’ and loving one another and what not. If it was another day I’d probably be feelin’ the guy but at the time it was like, “Okay dude.” He’s not afraid to hold hands, in fact he stated, “What’s with this brother and holding hands? Yes I like to hold hands.”
He also gave an important message to those who would listen:

Okay, he didn’t really say that, I just thought it was funny.
Anyhow, the food was good. The shaved ice at the funnel cake place was the best shaved ice ever. Because the shaved ice wasn’t hard…. it was soft all the way through. You never had to actually bite at the ice.
Saw Becky’s group perform. Didn’t like how the dudes with the cloth not covering their ass kept their backs to the audience, and the dudes with cloths covering their ass were facing us. I ended up watching the dudes with the cloths covering their ass. Not only because it was less damaging to my eyes, but because they weren’t so good. You know in performances how you end up watching the people who mess up vs. the people who are doing good?
So it’s Sunday… which means nothing but football today. Oh and ABC is airing some Dancing With The Stars Rematch or something with Kelly Monaco vs. Old Guy. I only watched some of it because it would show right before Lost - my anti-drug.
There was this interview with Kelly Monaco’s dancing partner, and they asked: “What do you think about when you are dancing with Kelly Monaco?”
