Ultimate Avengers

The Ultimate Avengers DVD is really short (1 hr. 10 mins.) and I’m not a big fan of the Avengers in the first place, but I was more than happy to watch the movie just because sometimes I think animated features capture the comic book essence better than a theater production (although Transformers: The Movie was fits into both of those categories and did a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick in everybodys throats).
Much of the actual movie is basically the Avengers fighting Hulk, because as you know, the bitch can’t control himself. A sequel was already in the works as the movie was being made (you can check it out in the special features). I’d like to see more comic book franchises led into the ’straight to DVD animated flick’ instead of seeing crap on the small/big screen like David Hasseloff as Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D., crap ass Punisher movies, etc. The Blade trilogy was actually really good but nobody even knew it was a Marvel franchise.

I bought the DVD and it is off the hook. I love all the old stand by characters (Ironman,Cap and Hulk)and the Sheild wrinkle was a nice touch. Can’t wait for sequel.
