something to look forward to

the chargers will start off their season in a pretty damn good way. their opener will be on Monday Night Football AND its against our rivals the raiders. its scheduled for sept 11 at 7:15 after the vikings/redskins game. pretty damn cool. raiders just added aaron brooks, but i dont think brooks/moss or anyone else on the team are anything to worry about. this should be a good game for rivers to show what he’s got. the only thing i have to say about the whole brees thing is im a charger fan, not a drew brees fan. he did well with san diego and it wouldve been cool if he stayed here. it was good while it lasted, but whatevs.
the schedule for next season looks better than it did last season. the official 06 schedule hasnt been released yet, but their opponents will be denver, kc, oakland, cleveland, pittsburgh, arizona, st. louis, tennessee, baltimore, cincinnati, san francisco, seattle, buffalo.

aye yo eric, how bouts some more (frequent) boomba? hahah.
..seriously though, how about it?

I hate chargers fans…not all, but most. Contrary to what some think, the Chargers are NOT our (Raiders) rivals. If anything, Charger fans hate us more than we hate them.

my apologies jay. i guess the rivalry was more eminent when the raiders were in LA, at least thats just how i remember it.

so am i one of the charger fans you hate? damns man, its just football and its not like i said fuck the raiders or anything.

Haha…it’s cool. But I wasn’t targeting you. I was just making a general statement. It’s just the onslaught of Charger bandwagoners that talk shit to me that fuels my hatred. It’s understandable to have all the Charger fans during a good season, seeing that I live in San Diego…but all the shit talking is another thing. Yes, the rivalry was more eminent when they were LA; no I don’t hate you, I’m not ever sure I know you; and yes, it’s just football. Chargers are/were doing good. I don’t know how they’ll fare with Rivers though. Not trying to start some online war or anything, but to the person above me…Fuck You! Don’t take it too seriously, it’s just online. Who is this Dj Profet anyways?

Thats just AFC West sibling rivalry… and you swear us Charger fans don’t get a lot of shit from fuckin Raider fans either. I live right halfway between L.A. and San Diego and I get a lot of shit thrown my way for bein a Charger fan. No worriez though, cuz I don’t hate… aggressively, but that doesn’t mean I don’t hate the other 2 teams just as much. hah hahhhhhhh!

Temecula, aye? I never said Charger fans don’t get shit from Raiders fans. Quite frankly, I think a lot of it is stupid. I haven’t seen this many Charger fans since 95, and have never experienced this degree of animosity from Charger fans. Raiders fans in general hate discriminate all other teams equally. I was just saying that the Chargers aren’t our true rivals…as a lot of Charger fans make it seem to be. These are probably the same guys that have all these Charger pictures, Calvin pissing on Raiders logos, claim “southeast san diego,” and call themselves Pacific Islanders on myspace…

lol, what’s up with that ciara/bow wow post anyways? I think it’s STILL going. Just to make it clear for everyone out there, I don’t want to start an argument on here. I hope I didn’t offend anyone. It’s hard to tell someone’s tone in just plain text. Off topic…does anyone play stick arena? I’ve been playing religously at work since Eric posted that shit. http://www.stickarena.com

i think the charger/raider rivalry is really played up by the local media, and the people responded. i think other media outlets (espn for example) put more emphasis on the denver/oakland rivalry, or the kc/denver rivalry. the chargers were stinkin up the league for so long that there wasnt much to talk about, cept for the powder blues and LT. whats cool is that now the bolts are finally gettin some national attention. hopefully river’s will be ready to step up to the plate come MNF, and brooks hasnt broken any old habits.. meaning that when merriman pancakes the halfback, brooks will scramble 20 yards deep trying to lose him
