League MVP Shaun Alexander has a broken left foot and will be lost to the Seahawks for at least a couple of weeks. Alexander ran for 47 yards on 20 carries while wearing new shoes and orthotic inserts before sitting out the fourth quarter, which began with Seattle leading 42-3. (NFL.com)
The ailment almost solidifies what has become known as the Madden curse, which is a jinx of sorts that has afflicted athletes who are on the cover of EA Sports Madden NFL. The curse has affected the likes of Eddie George, Daunte Culpepper, Marshall Faulk, Michael Vick, Ray Lewis and Donovan McNabb since 2000. (NFL.com)
