Gambit in Wolverine Origin movie

Taylor Kitsch (the long haired football player from the TV show Friday Night Lights) has signed on to play everyone’s card slingin’ Cajun Gambit in the upcoming Wolverine movie (via SuperHeroHype!).

I don’t see how Gambit fits in with Wolverine’s origin story. I understand Sabretooth and Silver Fox, yes. But whatever. As long as they do Gambit’s character justice. He’s too cool for school.

Don’t forget Deadpool - Ryan Reynolds is set to play him and he was in Weapon X.

Saw the leaked trailer from comicon. Seems they didn’t make gambit’s eyes red on black… if they got that much wrong, how the hell can they do him justice?

Plus, as you said, how in the world can he be in Wolverine’s origins story? Makes nooooo sense.

It’s because they haven’t done the special effects yet.. Red on black might be too hard to do with contacts! It was a very raw trailer.
