My Sassy Girl
May 14, 2008 | Category: movies & DVDs
I still have not gone around to watching the original My Sassy Girl, but in any case, I still want to see both versions, the original and the American remake (that will hopefully be released, whether in theaters or straight to DVD, whatever - IMDB has had it listed with a release date of 2008 since forever).
I think I like movies where there is a gullible/crazy/psycho-but-in-a-cute-hot-sexy-way character a la Cruel Intentions and Wedding Crashers.
Here is the trailer:

The human mind treats a new idea the way the body treats a strange protein; it rejects it.
watch the original first!!! the remake is all hased up and the original director of the american version (the same from the korean version) left because of all the changes
I don’t think the American version could culturally pull off the quirkiness of the original. I think it would seem too off. Watch the Korean one. I got it I think.
^ Hit it dead on. In the original Jun Ji Hyun captured the the watchers heart with her attitude and later the reason for it. It was actually cute. In the American remake Elisha just plain looks bipolar. I’d never fall for a girl like that haha. There’s just too much cultural humor that can’t be translated into a remake.
Will do. Bipolar = excuse to murder someone.
